STREET LANDSCAPING SOLUTIONS FOR URBAN AREAS

Abstract

The road, from ancient times to the present day, remains a crucial factor influencing economic, political, and cultural development. The best indicator of a state's power is represented by its infrastructure. Therefore, it is said that if you want to know the state of the economy in a country, inquire about the condition of its construction; it is the fastest and most reliable indicator. Roads should be followed not only as convenient paths but also in terms of economic construction. In comparison, the aesthetic quality of roads holds significant functional importance. The street network, as an element of urban and territorial planning in inhabited areas, forms the skeleton of the settlement and creates conditions for orientation in the overall landscape. Understanding the elements is crucial for forming road composition (line, shape, form, valeriana, color, direction, size), which creates artistic principles (integrity, unity, color, size, proportionality, balance, symmetry and asymmetry, contrast, nuance, equality, difference, repetition (rhythm), categorical contrast (contrast), and these are regulators of every design work defining the relationship of the elements within it. The vegetation on the roads has a significant impact on the overall image of the area. Therefore, considerable attention should be devoted to planning and maintenance, which is an integral part of the landscape architecture profession.
